This rare and mysterious piece cannot yet be determined exactly. However, it was presumably minted in Zurich in the first third of the 11th century. The obverse corresponds to a denar of Hermann II (993-1003, HMZ 1-600). The reverse instead corresponds to a denar of emperor Konrad II (1027-1039, HMZ 1-607C. Klein (Münzschatz) 28.1).
