Large monogram of Tamar surrounded by six knots; around, 'In the Name of God, this coin was struck in the year 407 of the koronikon' (in Mtavruli); below, two countermarks, one with a cross. Rev. 'The great Queen / Glory of the World and Faith / Tamar, daughter of Giorgi / champion of the Messiah, may God increase his victories' (in Kufic) in five lines. Bennett -. Very fine.
