CENTRAL EUROPE. Helvetii. 2nd century BC. 1/4 Stater (Electrum, 16 mm, 1.88 g, 7 h), 'á la rosette' type. Celticized laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. Celticized charioteer driving biga to right; below, rosette and pellet; in exergue, imitative legend; all within shallow circular incuse. D. F. Allen: The Philippus in Switzerland and the Rhineland, in: SNR 53 (1974), pl. 14, 158. DT 3058. SLM 927. Rare and nicely centered on a broad flan. A few faint marks and with minor weakness on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
