Hadrian, 117-138. Aureus (Gold, 20 mm, 7.22 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 129-130. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS Bare head of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. COS III P P Hadrian standing front in military attire, head to left, raising his right hand in salute and holding long scepter in his left; to left, aquila and signum surmounted by wreath; to right, signum surmounted by vexillum. BMC p. 308, note 530. Calicó 1240. Cohen 487 var. (no drapery). RIC 1060. Rare and with a fine portrait. Very light deposits and a few tiny marks, otherwise, good very fine.
