IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS V P P Laureate head of Trajan to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI / S C Trajan on horseback galloping to right, thrusting spear at Dacian kneeling right, head turned back to left and raising both hands. BMC 834. Cohen 503 var. (no drapery). RIC 534. Woytek 203bB. An excellent piece with a bold portrait and an exceptional pedigree. Old smoothing, otherwise, extremely fine.
