Vespasian, 69-79. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.65 g, 6 h), Tarraco (?), circa late 69-70. IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG Laureate head of Vespasian to right. Rev. MARS VLTOR Mars advancing right, holding spear in his right hand and trophy over his left shoulder in his left. BMC -. CBN -. Cohen -. RIC -, cf. 1299 (reverse legend arranged in two upright parallel lines). Apparently unpublished. Nicely toned and with an interesting western portrait. Minor edge cracks and with a few faint scratches, otherwise, about extremely fine.
