ANNONA AVGVSTI CERES / S C Ceres, on the right, veiled and draped, seated to left, holding grain ears in her right hand and torch in her left; Annona, on the left, draped, standing front, head to right, resting her right hand on her hip and holding cornucopiae in her left; between them, modius set on altar; behind, ship's stern. BMC -. CBN -. Cohen 16. RIC 139. WCN 104. An impressive example with a beautiful dark brown patina and a fine portrait. Minor roughness and the reverse struck from a slightly worn die, otherwise, about extremely fine.
