SAMARIA. Anepigraphic types with Achaemenid and regional influences. Circa 400-332 BC. Half M'h (Silver, 8 mm, 0.25 g, 2 h). Triform bearded male head, wearing laureate conical headgear. Rev. Herakles seated to right, placing his left hand on club and resting his right on shield beside him. CSC 203. Jeselsohn 242. Meshorer & Qedar 139. Sofaer 183. Rare and in exceptional condition for the issue. Attractively toned and with a beautiful triform head on the obverse. Struck on a slightly short flan, otherwise, about extremely fine.
