SELEUKID KINGS. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 16.89 g, 4 h), Laodikeia on the Sea, circa 300-290. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. [ΒΑΣΛΕΩΣ] / ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; in field to left, dolphin left. HGC 9, 9b. Meydancikkale 2769. SC 36.1. WSM 1202. Very rare. Slightly porous and with faint scratches and minor deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
