KINGS OF PERGAMON. Eumenes I, 263-241 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 32 mm, 17.09 g, 12 h), Pergamon, circa 255/0-241. Laureate head of Philetairos to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΕΤΑΙΡΟΥ Athena enthroned left, resting her left elbow on shield and crowning dynastic name with a wreath held in her right hand; in background, transverse spear; to outer left, ivy leaf; in inner left field, Α; in field to right, bow. BMC 35 (same obverse die). Meydancikkale 3018 (same obverse die). SNG Paris 1611 (same obverse die). SNG von Aulock 1356. Westermark Group IVA, V.LIII. A sharply struck and lightly toned example with a bold portrait. Very light pitting and thin scratches and with two minor scrapes on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
