ATTICA. Athens. Circa 545-525/15 BC. Obol (Silver, 8 mm, 0.63 g, 12 h), 'Wappenmünzen' type. Facing gorgoneion. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square divided diagonally. Dewing 1571-2. HGC 4, 1655. Pozzi 1486 (this coin). Rosen 197. Seltman pl. IV, υ. SNG München 20. Svoronos pl. 1, 66-7. Rare. Beautifully toned, very well centered and with a fine pedigree. Slightly granular and with minor areas of horn silver, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
