KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Stater (Gold, 19 mm, 8.60 g, 8 h), Pella, struck under Antipater or Polyperchon, circa 323-318/7. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠOY Charioteer driving galloping biga to right, holding goad in his right hand and reins in his left; below horses, kantharos. Le Rider pl. 68, 479 (D217/R350). Perfectly centered, lustrous and well struck, a lovely example of fine style. Very minor die rust on the obverse and with light deposits on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
