THRACE. Ainos. Circa 429-427/6 BC. Diobol (Silver, 11 mm, 1.27 g, 9 h). Head of Hermes to right, wearing petasos with pelleted rim. Rev. AIN Goat standing right; in field to right, club; all within shallow circular incuse. AMNG II, 306. HGC 3.2, 1274. May, Ainos, 136 (A80/P101). SNG Lockett 1165 (same dies). Beautifully toned. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
