Valentinian I, 364-375. Medallion (Bronze, 28 mm, 11.53 g), Rome, 367-375. D N VALENTINI-ANVS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Valentinian I to right. Rev. VRBS ROMA Roma seated left on throne, holding Victory on globe in her right hand and inverted spear in her left. Cohen 83. Gnecchi -. RIC 22a. Tocci -. Toynbee pl. XXXV, 8 = Trau 4409 (same dies). Extremely rare. Somewhat smoothed and with minor areas of weakness, otherwise, good very fine.
