Elagabalus, 218-222. Quinarius (Silver, 15 mm, 1.80 g, 12 h), Rome, 220-221. IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG Laureate and draped bust of Elagabalus to right, seen from behind. Rev. LIBERTAS AVG Libertas standing front, head to left, holding pileus in her right hand and vindicta in her left; in field to right, eight-pointed star. BMC 222A. Cohen 91. King 4. RIC 109. Thirion 273. Extremely rare and attractively toned, a lovely coin with a very impressive pedigree. Very minor roughness, otherwise, about extremely fine.
