INDIA, Kushan Empire. Kipunadha, circa 335-350. Dinar (Electrum, 19 mm, 7.61 g, 12 h), uncertain mint. Kipunada, nimbate, standing front, head to left, wearing jeweled conical hat, sacrificing with his right hand over altar and holding ribonned staff in his left; to upper left, filleted trident; in inner right field, BAHDRA (in Brahmi); to outer right, KIPUNADHA (in Brahmi). Rev. Ardoxsho enthroned facing, holding diadem with two ribbons in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; to upper left, tamgha. ANS Kushan -, cf. 1682 (different legend) and 1687 (heavily debased). Cribb, Kidarites, pl. 4, 22. Donum Burns 786-91. Sharply struck and fresh. Light doubling, otherwise, extremely fine.
