ISLANDS OFF CARIA, Rhodos. Rhodes. Circa 250-229 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 20 mm, 6.72 g, 12 h), Mnasimachos, magistrate. Radiate head of Helios facing slightly to right. Rev. ΜΝΑΣΙΜΑΧΟΣ / P - O Rose with bud to right; in field to left, Athena standing left, holding aphlaston in her right hand. Ashton 208. Karl 473. SNG Copenhagen 765. SNG München 581. SNG Keckman 538. A beautifully toned and very well centered example struck in high relief. Minor marks, otherwise, about extremely fine.
