Friedrich Imhoof-Blumer (1838–1920) was a Swiss numismatist from Winterthur renowned for his pioneering research on ancient Greek coinage. He worked as a private scholar and played a key role in Theodor Mommsen's Corpus Nummorum project at the Berlin Academy from 1888 to 1902, contributing significantly to the documentation and classification of coins.

Imhoof-Blumer assembled a large coin collection, parts of which were acquired by major institutions such as the Münzkabinett Berlin. He was involved in the founding of the Münzkabinett Winterthur and donated thousands of coins and an extensive library with rare numismatic works and manuscripts to the collection.
