Sunni kalima in three lines, ‘lā ilāha illā / Allāh Muḥammad / rasūl Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic); mint and date formula in the margin in a pseudo-Kufic style consisting of horizontal and vertical lines. Rev. Citing governor(?) Hassan, ‘amara bihī al-Rass / Yaḥyā ibn Abī / Ḥāshid / Ḥassān’ (‘Ordered by al-Rass Yahya son of Abu Hashid. Hassan’ in Arabic); Pseudo-Kufic legend citing the Fatimid caliph al-Mustansir (AH 427-487 / AD 1036-1094). Album K1073. Very rare. Weakly struck and minor doubling, otherwise, very fine.
