Maximinus II, 310-313. Counterfeiter's mold (Terracotta, 33x27 mm, 6.54 g, 6 h), for a Follis of Maximinus II from Alexandria of 312. IMP C GAL VAL MAXIMINVS P F AVG Laureate head of Maximinus II to right (all incuse and mirrored). Rev. GENIO AVGVSTI / X - A / ALE Genius standing front, head to left, holding bust of Serapis in his right hand and cornucopiae with his left (all incuse and mirrored). Cf. RIC 149b (for prototype). A very sharp and unusually clear example. Edge chipped as usual, otherwise, good very fine.
