KYRENAICA. Kyrene. Ptolemy I Soter, as satrap, 308-305 BC. AE (Bronze, 18 mm, 4.18 g, 12 h). ΘΑ Head of a ram to right. Rev. Eagle with closed wings standing right, head turned back to left; all within circular incuse. Asolati 33 var. BMC -. CPE B136 var. (KY on obverse). SNG Copenhagen -. Very rare and unusually attractive for the issue, with a lovely near black patina. Light deposits and small marks and with minor breaks in patina on the reverse, otherwise, about very fine.
