PHOENICIA. Sidon. Abdashtart I, circa 365-352 BC. Double Shekel (Silver, 27 mm, 24.37 g, 11 h), RY 3 = 363/2 BC. Phoenician galley above waves left; above, [III]. Rev. 𐤏𐤁 (''b' in Phoenician) The Persian Great King, raising his right hand in salute, and holding bow in his left, standing left in slow chariot driven by a driver to left; to right, king of Sidon, in Egyptian style garments, walking left, holding cultic scepter in his right hand. Betlyon 23. E&E-S Group IV.2.1.c, 1241. HGC 10, 242. Light porosity and some areas of horn silver with minor traces of cleaning, otherwise, very fine.
