MYSIA. Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. Cistophorus (Silver, 29 mm, 12.53 g, 12 h), circa 85-75. Cista mystica from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; between the snake heads, KA above monogram; to left, monogram of ΠΕΡΓ; to right, thyrsos entwined by a serpent. Kleiner 35. SNG Paris 1738-9. The obverse struck from a worn die and slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
