KINGS OF MACEDON. Demetrios I Poliorketes, 306-283 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 14 mm, 1.74 g, 12 h), Tarsos, circa 298-295. Nike, blowing a trumpet and holding a stylis, alighting to left on a left-facing prow. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΔΗΜΗΤ[ΡΙΟΥ] Poseidon, nude but for a chlamys draped over his left arm, striding left, hurling trident from his upraised right hand; to left, A; to right, monogram in circle. HGC 3, 1018. Newell 45. Nicely toned. Some deposits and minor marks and the obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, fine.
