IO[VI VICT]ORI Jupiter standing facing, head to right, holding thunderbolt in his right hand and long scepter in his left. RIC 54. RIC V online 252. Venèra 7435-7524. Flip-over double strike with the reverse appearing in the emperor's portrait. Some areas of weakness and struck from a clashed reverse die, otherwise, very fine.


This coin is a so-called flip-over double strike, meaning that the flan was not removed between two strikes but flipped over, which resulted in the reverse being partly visible on the obverse.
