KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 14.29 g, 12 h), Pella, circa 348/7-343/2. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Young jockey, holding palm frond in his right hand and reins in his left, riding horse to right; below, kerykeion. Le Rider 182 (D107/R148). SNG ANS 378 (same dies). Nicely toned and of fine early style. Very minor porosity and the obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
