Very rare and unusually attractive for a Treveran antoninianus

Maximianus, first reign, 286-305. Antoninianus (Bronze, 23 mm, 3.77 g, 12 h), Treveri, mid-end 293. MAXIMIANVS P F AVG Radiate and cuirassed bust of Maximianus to right. Rev. PIETAS AVGG / PTR Maximianus, in military attire, standing right, holding long scepter with his left hand and raising a female figure (Orbis Terrarum) kneeling to left before him, holding a cornucopiae in her left hand; in field to left, C. Cahn 42. Cohen 463 corr. (reverse legend). Estiot/Zanchi 1. RIC 478. Very rare and unusually attractive. Minor traces of corrosion on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
