Maximianus, first reign, 286-305. Antoninianus (Silvered bronze, 23 mm, 3.79 g, 6 h), Siscia, 287-288. IMP C M A VAL MAXIMIANVS P AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Maximianus to right, seen from behind. Rev. CONSERVATOR AVGG / XXI•A• Maximianus, on the left, holding long scepter in his left hand, and Hercules, on the right, leaning left on club, standing facing each another and sacrificing over tripod altar. Cohen 70 corr. (bust type). Margetic, Siscijska, p. 71, 145. RIC -. Nearly fully silvered, a wonderful piece. Good extremely fine.
