Antoninus Pius, 138-161. Dupondius (Orichalcum, 25 mm, 12.43 g, 12 h), Rome, 140-144. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P COS III Radiate and draped bust of Antoninus Pius to right, see from behind. Rev. [ANNONA] AVG / S - C Annona standing front, head to right, holding grain-ears over modius in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; to right behind her, prow of a ship. BMC 1331 note. Cohen -, cf. 36 (differing bust). RIC -, cf. 656 (differing bust). Very rare with this bust type. Slightly smoothed and with minor traces of corrosion, otherwise, very fine.
