MYSIA. Lampsacus. Philip II, as Caesar, 244-247. Diassarion (Bronze, 24 mm, 6.74 g, 7 h), Aurelios Markos, strategos. ΜA ΙΟΥΛΙΟϹ ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟ K (sic!) Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip II to right, seen from behind. Rev. ЄΠΙ ΜΑΡΚΟ ΛΑΝΨΑΚΗ/ΝΩ-Ν (sic!) Ithyphallic statue of Priapos standing front, head to left, holding kantharos in his right hand and scepter in his left; at feet to left, burning altar. RPC VIII online ID 20083.3 (this coin). Extremely rare, the third and by far the finest known example. Good very fine.
