AΛЄΞANΔPOY Diademed head of Alexander 'the Great' to right. Rev. KOINON MAKЄΔONΩN NЄΩΚΟ Alexander on Boukephalos galloping to right, hurling spear with his right hand. AMNG III/1, -. RPC VI online -, cf. 346-7 (differing reverse legend). A very rare variety. Somewhat smoothed and with minor traces of corrosion on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
