A depiction of the Reza Shah Kabir Dam; above, ‘Barrage Reza Shah Kabir’ (in English); bottom, ‘mise en eau: 1976’ (‘Filling with water, 1976’ in French). Rev. A lion standing to left, holding a sword in its right hand; a rising sun behind; Pahlavi crown above; above, ‘bozorgdāsht-e panjāhomīn sāl-e saltanat-e dūdmān-e Pahlavī’ (‘Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the reign of the Pahlavi dynasty’ in Persian); below, ‘āqāz-e bahrebardārī az / sadd-e Rezā Shāh-e Kabīr / 2535’ (‘The start of the operation of the Reza Shah Kabir Dam. 2535’ in Persian).
