GERMANY. Reichenau, Abtei. Konrad von Zimmern, 1234-1255. Bracteate (Silver, 20 mm, 0.50 g), Radolfzell. Mitred abbot facing, holding crosier in his right hand and book with fleur de lis above in his left, fish below; two crosses and three annulets in fields. Rev. Incuse of obverse. Berger 2562. Cahn 161. Klein/Ulmer (CC) 58. Rutishauser 441. Wüthrich 267. Very rare and nicely toned. Minor flan faults, otherwise, good very fine.

From the collection of Kurt Zimmermann (* 1937) of Winterthur, long-serving numismatist at Schweizerische Kreditanstalt and Leu Numismatik, privately acquired from Schweizerische Kreditanstalt in December 1970.
