JUDAEA, Hellenistic Period. Ptolemaic issues, 302/1-294 BCE. 1/4 Obol or Ma'ah (Silver, 6 mm, 0.15 g). [Bearded male head to left]. Rev. 'YHD' (in Paleo-Hebrew) Eagle with spread wings standing left. GLF Type 35 (O2/R3). Jeselsohn 164 (same dies). Very rare. Beautifully toned and with an excellent reverse. The obverse struck off center, otherwise, good very fine.
