PHOENICIA. Sidon. Ba`alšillem (Sakton) II, circa 401-366 BC. Double Shekel (Silver, 31 mm, 28.00 g, 11 h). Phoenician galley above waves left; above, 𐤁 ('b' in Phoenician). Rev. Persian king, raising his right hand, and driver, holding reins with both hands, in chariot left; to right, king of Sidon, in Egyptian style garments, walking left, holding cultic scepter in his right hand. Betlyon 18. E&E-S Group IV.1.1.a. HGC 10, 236. Minor traces of corrosion on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.

From a Canadian collection, ex Classical Numismatic Group E-Auction 483, 6 January 2021, 229 and previously privately acquired from Classical Numismatic Group in December 2006 (inv. no. 780930).
