SELEUKID KINGS. Antiochos IV Epiphanes, 175-164 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 17.00 g, 12 h), Antiochia in Persis. Diademed head of Antiochos IV to right. Rev. BAΣIΛΕΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; to outer left and to outer right, monogram. HGC 9, 615j. SC -, cf. 1524.1 (differing monogram to outer right). SNG Copenhagen Supp. 1093 var. (same obverse die, but differing monogram to outer right). Extremely rare. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die and with minor traces of corrosion and light marks, otherwise, very fine.
