DYNASTS OF LYCIA. Ddenewele, circa 420/10-400 BC. Obol (Silver, 10 mm, 0.65 g, 10 h), uncertain mint (Xanthos or Tlos?). Bearded head of Ddenewele to right, wearing kyrbasia. Rev. 𐊅𐊅𐊁𐊏𐊁𐊇 ('Ddenew' in Lycian) Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet; all within circular incuse. Müseler VI, 77-9 (same dies). Traité II 411. Winzer 24.5. Rare. Lightly toned and with a superb portrait of fine style for such a small coin. Slightly granular and with the usual die break on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
