NORTHEAST GAUL. Leuci. Circa 100-50 BC. 1/4 Stater (Gold, 14 mm, 1.58 g, 4 h), 'à la lyre' type. Laureate celticized head to right. Rev. Horse stand left, head turned back to the right, and with a bird atop a wheel on its back; below, a stylized lyre. DT 142. Scheers 77, series 32-33b, class II, figs. 271-4. Very rare and nicely toned. Minor edge scuff, otherwise, about very fine.
