From the collection of Kurt Zimmermann (* 1937) of Winterthur, long-serving numismatist at Schweizerische Kreditanstalt and Leu Numismatik, privately acquired from the Croatian field athlete, footballer, handball player and coach, and numismatist I. Dolenec in August 1974.

Irislav Dolenec (1921-2009) was a Yugoslav-Croatian track and field athlete, footballer, handball player and coach, and numismatist. Over the course of his long coaching career, he led, among others, the Swiss national handball team (1969-1972) and the first team of Pfadi Winterthur (1973-1975). In later years, he devoted himself primarily to numismatics - a passion that remained with him until his death in 2009.
