Divus Romulus, died 309. Follis (Silvered bronze, 24 mm, 5.28 g, 12 h), Ostia, 310-312. IMP MAXENTIVS DIVO ROMVLO N V FILIO Bare head of Divus Romulus to right. Rev. AETERNA MEMORIA / MOSTT Doomed hexastyle shrine with open door surmounted by eagle standing right, wings spread and head to left. Drost 76. RIC 33. A lovely piece with a charming portrait and an attractive brown patina. Minor weakness, otherwise, very fine.
