LOWER DANUBE. Uncertain tribe. Circa 2nd century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 21 mm, 7.18 g, 9 h), 'Sattelkopfpferd' type, imitating Philip II of Macedon. Celticized male head to right. Rev. Celticized horse with heavily stylized rider prancing left. Dembski 1227-8. Forrer I, p. 150, fig. 287 (this coin). Lanz 649. OTA 300/14. Preda pl. XLII, 13. Struck from somewhat worn dies and with minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
