Probus, 276-282. Antoninianus (Silvered bronze, 23 mm, 4.07 g, 6 h), Siscia, 277. IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG Radiate bust of Probus to left in consular robes, holding eagle-tipped scepter in his right hand. Rev. SOLI INVICTO / A / XXI Sol standing front in spread quadriga, raising his right hand in salute and holding globe and whip in his left. Alföldi 74/3. Cohen 682. RIC 776. A lovely coin with attractive surfaces and a fine pedigree. Very minor die wear on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
