Fausta, Augusta, 324-326. Follis (Silvered bronze, 20 mm, 2.92 g, 12 h), Alexandria, 325-326. FLAV MAX FAVSTA AVG Draped bust of Fausta to right. Rev. SPES REI PVBLICAE / SMALA Veiled Fausta or Salus standing front, head to left, holding two children in her arms. RIC 40. Light silvering and with an exceptional eastern portrait. The reverse a bit weak, otherwise, about extremely fine.

From the collection of Dipl.-Ing. Caspar Reinhart of Winterthur, Civil Engineer and Secretary General of the Swiss Association of Engineers and Architects from 1988 to 1996, assembled between the 1950s and 1980s largely through private acquisitions from Dr. F. Sternberg (with collector's ticket).
