Gordian III, 238-244. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 30 mm, 18.68 g, 12 h), Rome, 243-244. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to right, seen from behind. Rev. FELICIT TEMPOR / S - C Felicitas standing front, head to left, holding long caduceus in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left. Cohen 73. Michaux 215. RIC 328a. A beautiful piece with a fine portrait and an attractive brown patina. Somewhat smoothed, otherwise, about extremely fine.
