JUDAEA. Gaza. Diadumenian, as Caesar, 217-218. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 13.26 g, 12 h). Μ ΟΠ ΑΝΤΩΝ ΚΑΙ Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Diadumenian to right. Rev. ΔΗΜΑΡ[Χ ЄΞ ΥΠ]ΑΤΟC Τ Α Eagle standing facing with wings spread, head to left and holding wreath in beak; between the eagle's legs, star; to upper right, symbol of Zeus Marnas (Haddad). Prieur 1698. RPC V.3 online 79368. Very rare and unusually attractive, an excellent piece. Slight die shift and minor roughness, otherwise, good very fine.
