KYRENAICA. Kyrene. Ophellas, Ptolemaic Governor, second reign, 312-308 BC. Stater (Gold, 19 mm, 8.64 g, 12 h), Polianthes, magistrate. KYPANAIΩN Nike, wearing long robes, holding kentron in her right hand and the reins in both, driving slow quadriga to right. Rev. [Π]OΛIANΘEYΣ Zeus Ammon standing front, head to left, holding phiale in his right hand and lotus-tipped scepter in his left; to left, thymiaterion. BMC 123 and pl. XIV, 10 (same obverse die). Boston MFA 2336 (same dies). Naville 133 (same dies). SNG Copenhagen 1210. Slightly rough and with numerous minor marks and a small scrape on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
