A beautiful sestertius of Gordian II

Gordian II, 238. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 30 mm, 18.81 g, 12 h), Rome, March-April 238. IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AFR AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian II to right, seen from behind. Rev. VIRTVS AVGG / S - C Virtus standing front, head to left, holding inverted spear in her left hand and placing her right on shield set on ground. BMC 31. Cohen 15. RIC 8. Rare. A very attractive example with lovely orichalcum surfaces. Minor spot of corrosion on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
