Gallienus, 253-268. Antoninianus (Billon, 22 mm, 3.28 g, 7 h), Rome, 260-261. IMP GALLIENVS AVG Radiate and cuirassed bust of Gallienus to left, holding spear in his right hand and shield, decorated with gorgoneion, on his left shoulder. Rev. GENIVS AVG Genius standing front, head to left, holding patera in his right hand and cornucopiae in his left; to right, standard; across field, V-I. Cohen -. D. Extremely rare, apparently the second known example. A beautiful coin with a very impressive portrait. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die and with some corrosion, otherwise, very fine.
