Galerius, as Caesar, 293-305. Aureus (Gold, 20 mm, 5.37 g, 5 h), Antiochia, 293-295. MAXIMIANVS NOB CAES Laureate head of Galerius to right. Rev. IOVI CONS CAES / SMAZ Jupiter standing front, head to left, holding thunderbolt in his right hand and long scepter in his left; at feet to left, eagle standing left, head turned back to right. Bally-Herzog Collection 271 (same dies). Calicó 4910. Cohen 118. RIC 9. Polished and with bangs and scrapes, especially on the portrait, and the edge slightly bent at 10-11 h, otherwise, good very fine.
