A rare and attractive tetradrachm from Segesta

SICILY. Segesta. Circa 390-385 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 16.10 g, 7 h). [Σ]EΓ-EΣTAZIA Aigiste driving fast quadriga right, holding grain ear in her right hand and reins with both; above, Nike flying left, crowning her with wreath; in exergue, grasshopper right. Rev. Aigistes, nude and with pileos hanging from his neck, standing right, left foot set on rock, holding two spears in his left hand; at his feet, two hunting dogs, one at bay right, the other crouched right, sniffing at ithyphallic herm to right. Hurter, Didrachmenprägung, Group IV, T11 (V5/R10). Lederer 10. Rizzo pl. LXII, 17 (same dies). Rare. An attractive example of this impressive issue. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die, otherwise, good very fine.
